Veritable- often used as intensifiers
Decrepit- lacking bodily or muscular strength
Facet- a distinct feature or element in a problem
Myriad- a large indefinite number
Proffer- present for acceptance or rejection
Proverbial- of or relating to or resembling or expressed in a proverb
Naught- a quantity of no importance
Affliction- a condition of suffering or distress due to ill health
Deign- do something that one considers to be below one's dignity
Ascertain- learn or discover
Dubious- not convinced
Aura- a distinctive but intangible quality
Fraught- marked by distress
Zeal- a feeling of strong eagerness
Plumb- examine throughly and in great depth
Suffice- be sufficient; be adequate
Cohort- a band of warriors
Feign- make a pretence of
Perpetuity- the property of being seemingly ceaseless
